I propose ending the use of overpriced test strips. Let's send a message that we are doing our part to end the high costs of medicine by not using the insanely priced strips. It's crazy what these meter companies charge for test strips. So let me present a wonderful cheap alternative;
The ReliOn Confirm.
The meter costs $12, and test strips run $20 for 50, or $39 for 100. That's insanely cheap compared to what the big meter companies charge. But what do we give up?
* Cool new lancet device, a lifetime supply of lancets (seen in the picture.)
* 0.3 micro liter sample size
* no coding required
* 360 test memory
And test results in seconds!
Compared to the inferior One Touch meter - the one touch takes more than twice the blood sample, and it's strips are more than double the cost. Plus the One Touch meter still requires you "code" the meter to the vial of test strips.
Seriously, that is so 1990.

The meter is insanely thin too!

The only negative is that it is available only at WalMart. But hey, it's cheap - and it works.
